FRIDEVI counts with a Quality Control Department composed of a multidisciplinary staff who has developed an Integral System of Quality Management for each and every one of the processes.
FRIDEVI guarantees the innocuity of its products by the application of the HACCP PLAN (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in all its production lines. The HACCP Plan relies on three pillars: • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) constitute the necessary tools for the manufacturing of healthy and beneficial foods. • SOPS (Standardized Operative Procedures of Sanitation), consisting of written procedures where the sanitation routines of all the sectors of the plant are established. • IMP (Integrated Management of Plagues). Written procedure whose objective is to minimize the impact of plagues throughout the whole process. These three pillars are complementary with a Pathogenic Reduction Program, exhaustive microbiological analyses which are conducted in an own laboratory as well as in external laboratories belonging to the Red de Laboratorios Oficiales (Network of Official Laboratories) and a robust Internal Training Program for all the staff from the plant. FRIDEVI has at the same time a Food Defense Program, consisting of a series of measures which protect products from possible sabotage. Since November 2019 Fridevi has HACCP certification for the elaboration of bovine cuts with or without bone, refrigerated or frozen, vacuum packed or in normal atmosphere.
Adding secure instances, FRIDEVI guarantees its internal and external market clients the traceability and recall of its products. Traceability allows to know the story of the product associated to the origin of the raw materials, the features of the processes and its relation with the final product and its specifications. Recall, through a software, allows to locate and completely and rapidly take off the market any lot of finished product which presents some potential danger to the consumer, or a problem with its quality. It includes finished products, stored products, by transport or in hands of the supplier.

For the manufacturing of its products, FRIDEVI uses potable water from the pipe system. Sanitizer products used for the cleaning of the plant are approved by SENASA and produce low residual waste. Los productos sanitizantes utilizados para la limpieza de la planta, cuentan con aprobación de SENASA y son de bajo poder residual. Treatment of effluents is realized by Biological Treatment, which has been readjusted last year. It consists of a first stage of primary treatment, and then the biological treatment strictly speaking. El tratamiento del efluente líquido se realiza mediante Tratamiento Biológico, el cual ha sido readecuado este último año. Consiste en una primera etapa de tratamiento primario, y el tratamiento biológico propiamente dicho en lagunas en serie. According to the characteristics of effluents, FRIDEVI has requested and obtained from the authorities of implementation the certificate to spill and reuse them for agricultural forest irrigation.
